AT&T and Verizon trade marketing daggers to determine which company is the best, but both demand long-term deals in exchange for great smart phones and the latest technology. Cricket has both, minus signing your life away with a contract. Furthermore, Cricket isn’t trying to lure customers away with an array of archaic flip phones from the late 1990s. Everything from the Samsung Galaxy 3 to the much-heralded iPhone is available signing on with Cricket. The company also doesn’t shy away from promoting its prepaid wireless plans, although one would assume that business and the no contract plans vie for the same demographic. Customer satisfaction is paramount within the walls of the Cricket boardroom and the aforementioned diverse sales options are proof. Cricket also has begun its forage into broadband internet as the company continues to mirror other multi-media conglomerates such as Verizon. So, essentially, Cricket wants to be the new Verizon, minus the binding contracts and high cost. Cricket also appeals to a customer base that isn’t keen on rising monthly phone bill costs that can be as much as $100 just for one phone. Cricket is king of bundling as music, data and service typically is rolled into one manageable plan that won’t leave your wallet wallowing in a sea of emptiness. An added bonus is Cricket’s homegrown Muve Music, which allows customers to download unlimited amounts of ringtones and music that bundles nicely with unlimited talking, texting and data usage. The Cricket web site developed a supportive online community that allows customers and potential buyers to chat with a representative online or purchase directly from the site. Cricket just can’t help itself. The cell phone carrier doesn’t adhere to the rules and does what it thinks is best for customers. Cricket’s goal is to draw the most business with a simplistic business plan. So far, that mentality has helped Cricket close the gap in the cell phone race.
