Why are you doing this? Chances are most of it is by accident or believing in various myths or that certain contact with various daily exposures aren't that big of a deal.

One of the bigger misnomers about chlorine (or its ugly cousin bromine that you find in hot stops and spas) is that they help the skin or somehow help to heal wounds or skin issues, such as a rash for example.
Chlorine will dry out the skin, thus giving you the impression that it is healing but actually that chemical mixed with face creams and lotions can do serious damage to your skin. The best bet is to take a hot shower and soap up accordingly to wash away the chlorine.
Washing away is another means of getting off your makeup at the end of the day, but you might find yourself falling asleep with your makeup on from time to time. While once or twice in a while isn't going to be too detrimental, it can clog your pores and make taming your skin a nightmare. The irony is makeup is often used as a backup plan when your skin isn't having its best day but forgetting to take it off can result in skin issues, thus creating the need for more or various types of makeup.
Your skin also could use a little extra TLC in the for of showering it with plenty of water throughout the day. Water is the great equalizer to dry, cracked and poor skin and quite frankly is the easiest and least expensive way to make sure your skin look remarkable with little effort other than hydration and ingesting the caffeine in moderation.
If you're going to invest in your skin, do so by more than just spending money on products but also implementing some easy steps that require little with maximum results for your skin.
