I remember going to the doctor's or dentist's office as a child and reading Highlights Magazine, while in the waiting room. I also remember enjoying the page where you had to find all the hidden objects in the picture. The company Highlights for Children has now been in operation for over 60 years and continues to be an organization that helps to instill good morals and values in its young readers, such as honesty and thoughtfulness. This publication provides more than just being a source of good behavior; it also strives to be a source of entertainment too, through the amazing stories and activities in the magazine. They provided their first magazine back in the mid-forties with the goal to be a place for children to receive an imprint of good behavior and moral decision making. They spread throughout medical offices as this is where children would likely come with their parents whether the parent needed attention or the child; and Highlights for Children continues to warm the lives of children today.
