There is a company that most of you have heard of called Lumber Liquidators that began as humbly as any company could. This company originated with a man that was buying up excess wood that other companies were going to discard back in ninety three and selling it out of a truck yard in Massachusetts. One thing led to another, and the man behind this organization realized that the wood he was selling should be used for hardwood flooring. By 1996, the first store was opened near Boston, and within a year, this company opened another satellite in Hartford. In just ten years of time, this organization expanded to forty three states with a half a thousand employees. The steady and explosive growth of this company demanded a move to Virginia where they purchased an eighty thousand square foot distribution facility. They now are still located in Virginia, but have a facility that is over 300,000 square feet. The hardwood flooring business was developed from a guy that used a portable bathroom in a parking lot just over twenty five years ago. Now you have the story behind Lumber Liquidators.
