This company was originated way back in 1915 out of the small town in Idaho called American Falls with one little grocery store. The man behind the company decided early on that expansion could only occur by limiting profit margins to be a place of choice ahead of the competition. In just over ten years of time, this organization had over four hundred stores in ten states and merged with Safeway. This organization began to sell produce by the pound and date label the produce to prove freshness. Today, this organization has over seventeen hundred store fronts, and they have become a brand and not just a store. This company is committed to the communities where they exist and are known to be a proud partner of worthy causes. Safeway is a class organization that does a ton for school kids as well.
