There is an amazing organization that has a tremendous amount of pride and deservedly so called S&S Worldwide. Back in the early part of the twentieth century, a Russian immigrant with the name Schwartz began to provide scrap leather that was being used to handcraft accessories such as comb cases and purses. These types of items became of favorite of charitable organizations that dealt with populations of people with disabilities. He became a supplier to Hospitals and Institutions, and by 1930, his son began a catalog mail order campaign. With the ever growing customer base, it became apparent to offer other provisions, and this organization began to provide crafts and craft supplies. Before the nineteen seventies, this company was now run by the grandson of the original Schwartz immigrant, and the product line expanded into games, therapy products, and early learning materials for teaching gross motor and fine motor skills including balance. This organization continues to provide for camps and institutions that tailor to people with special needs, and S&S Worldwide has a two hundred and fifty thousand square foot warehouse and employees several hundred people.
